Calendar View

In calendar view you only see items which are date-related somehow. You can't see (at least at a first glance) where they are stored in the hierarchy. Items are shown no matter where they are stored in the hierarchy.

What is shown

The screenshot shows seven days per view. You can also have other numbers.
For every day there is a headline. Sundays are printed bold, the current day is italic. The last number in this line is the week of the year.

Items show up like in data view, with the exception that times are shown in brackets if they are set. Every item can have a beginning date/time and/or ending date/time set. For example, 'shopping for the weekend' starts on 20.7. (without starting time) and ends on 21.7. with ending time set to 19:00.

If you set the view to start with the current day by hitting the button 'today' at the bottom, overdue todos are shown before any day, like 'water the plants' and 'feed the trolls' in this example.

What you can do

Beneath the obvious buttons and the behaviour you know from data view, you can...

...hit the headline of a day to create and edit an appointment, where beginning/ending date/time are preset to the day clicked.

...hit the empty line after a day to create and edit a note for that day (right part) or a todo for that day (left part).

Remember that you can always change the type of an item.

Items which are created from calendar view are stored in a group calendar which is automatically created if it doesn't already exist.
Hint:
If you feel the group 'calendar' is growing too big, just rename it. MuPO will still find the items in it and create a new group "calendar" if new items are created from calendar-view.
You could also create a group 'calender-archive' and put groups into it for every month or year. If you feel like sorting again, copy the items from 'calendar' using 'copy|content' and paste them into 'calendar-archive/month.year'. Then delete 'calendar'.
