Building one

Take some plywood (3-4 mm), this template and cut those "holes" into it. This is some work...
The keys taken from your old cherry will fit right into it. The upper row has to be glued in a position like shown in the picture below. You can also see that I used different keys for every row to make it feel good.

I won't publish details about the electronics...I used some Atmel controller (AVR-family, AT90S8515) and programmed it so it scans the keys and communicates with your PC just like any other keyboard.

After building the right and left part of your keyboard you're quite free in arranging them.
