Partial update of the first prototype to achieve this:

both key boards interchangeable with other keyboards

also usable with a smaller controller board (nice!nano, ZMK) which uses a single ribbon cable instead of two separate ones

controller board can be placed in left or right part (which adds three wires to the ribbon cable until you finally decide on left/right)

add mounts for optional screws to lift the keyboard at its back

easier assembly and adjustment

With low profile switches, the left part is an early version:
The following pictures show the right half in its extreme setting for the case of "desk too high in relation to chair". It uses two screws without rubber feet because currently I don’t need this configuration.
The keyboard PCBs are milled using a cheap desktop cnc machine.
